On North Temple Street at the¬†Mestizo¬†Institute of Culture and Arts is a photographic collaboration between professional photographers and amateur students, documenting North Temple during a period of change. The show opens April 13 in conjunction with the opening of UTA’s new Airport TRAX line with celebrations starting at 2 p.m. Also, don’t miss the exhibition at the April 19 gallery stroll starting at 6 p.m. Admission to the show is free.

With the introduction of a new UTA TRAX line from downtown Salt Lake City to Salt Lake International Airport, the infrastructure and scenery of North Temple has been permanently altered. This major construction project serves as a catalyst and jumping off point for the photographers who set out on the street to examine these developments.

The project documents the continuing transformation of North Temple and the individuals that interact there, with a lens on the past, present and future. On North Temple Street serves as a publicly viewable record during its exhibition and a source for public discussion on our shared spaces and resources.
